Proud Indian

Today is a pride day for India as PM Manmohan Singh received the honour of being the first foreign leader to be chief guest at France's national day parade. Today France celebrated 220 years of being a republic - when the storming of the Bastille prison signalled the uprising of modern nation states around the world. There was an impressive military parade which was opened with a detachment of 400 soldiers from the three defence services of India, who were attired in ceremonial uniforms and marched to the tunes of 'Saare Jahan Se Achchha' and 'Kadam Kadam Badhaye Jaa'.
After watching the parade Sarkozy (President) went among the huge crowds to shake hands and chat with members of the public. Inviting Indian soldiers to take part in the Bastille Day march for the first time shows that Paris wants to emphasise its close relations with India.

Pride Of being a SENIOR!!!!!

Finally college started…but this time the story was different because we were seniors…and that feeling was making me feel proud and happy. Entire 1 year we were listening to our seniors but this time it was our turn….we felt seniors enjoy a lot…but again we are not that lucky because IES has introduced trimester system in the college because of which all professors started teaching and giving assignments from the 1st day itself…but it was a great feeling meeting all friends sharing the pride of being seniors…….going to meet our juniors asking them to give their intro telling them Do’s and Don’ts at IES

Last Day

Finally my internship comes to an end. All my friends were waiting for their internship to end (they were so much bored with their office )and I used to think how much I will miss my office… Last day turned out to be the unexpected day. I had planned with my other colleagues that we will do time pass, go for lunch, hand over all documents, finalise the project but we were so much tied up with the work that we dint even get time to talk to each other. By the time we leave almost everybody had left the office. The best part was we were invited for the annual party. In these 2 months I learned a lot…this was the 1st time I was working. I learned much about the travel industry, how to talk to hoteliers (best part) and how to present your report…while coming back from the office I was wondering…did I really work for 2 months..because I felt as if it was yesterday I had joined the company.. As everyone says “good things” come to an end…!!!

Something unusual in usual life

“Differences of habit and language are nothing at all if our aims are identical and our hearts are open.”
This is very usual story narrating train life you and me everyone who is travelling in train would be in a position to relate it…or even you guys would have felt the same sometime or the other.
For my internship I have to reach office by 9:30 so I decided to leave my house at around 8:30 and one fine day I got into ladies train were on the 1st day I found everyone very irritating…purchasing clothes, bangles as if they never had…but after few days I realized that they are the same people..They have formed their train gang and every day they get into the same coach even though they catch the train from different stations. Gradually I started talking to them trying to understand them. If not talking then surely understanding their actions. All the ladies were from different background. But they forget all their differences, problems and were enjoying in the train…they also share their snacks, views and even “seat”. We all know getting a seat to sit during peak hours is not only difficult but next to impossible. Even in such a case they give their seat if they feel someone is standing since longtime.

Startling!!!

Few days Back I felt very bad because one of my special friend told me that there is no compulsion that I have to share all my things with anyone and everyone.’ Anyone’……I din expect this from you but it is said that expect the unexpected…that is what has happened to me…I thought I will forget whatever my friend told but somewhere it is still bothering me…so I thought if I will write it down here…may b I may feel better I know now we are not the same friends things have changed…situations have change thinking has changed…but then to it is hurting somewhere… :(

Research Topic

Finally we have got a research topic for our internship. we have some amount of field work but it is completly fine bcz in marketing we have field work their is no option. I am really worried about preparing the project. we have not even started preparing it. everyday we have time to prepare but we are busy chattin, mailin etc in short doing time pass. But I LOVE wrking in my company.. I sometimes feel I will miss this place once my college will start...Today I got one more shock our results is on 15th june...:(

Change

There are times when things happen all of a sudden, when everything is planned and at the last moment something changes. Change is an inevitable part of our life. We always want good things in our life to remain the way they are. But we realize that societies change, situation changes and at times even individuals change. Inspite of knowing all this we resist change and develop an emotional conflict within us for the same. when people face change for a good reason i.e for their own benefit than it is very easy to adapt to the change but if people have to face a change al of a sudden it becomes more disruptive. we have seen many changes thru out our lyf the only thing that we should think out of the changes that take place is the learning part of it.

I believe in the thought everything that happens with us has a reason attached to it
sometimes we knoe the reason before it happens and sometimes we come to knoe the reason once life teaches us!!!

Life as a Intern

currrently I am on my internship for 2 months it would be a learning experience for me because I am a complete fresher. I dont knoe anything about office environment, culture etc. But I can say I am quite lucky that I have joined a company were work environment is quite relaxed and ppl out here are down to earth.
I cant write my Companies name because they have set google alerts thru which they would come to knoe if any person has written any damn thing abt them on the net...and i dont wnt them to read dis...

IIM Marketing Conference

I had being to IIM A on 5th of january with my ies frndzz it was a very nice experience. the thought of going to IIM itself makes a person feel good and above all it was marketing conference so i had to attend it. It was for 3dayz and it acted as a platform for me to communicate with different people from varied background. i was suprised to see that there were papers from 18 countries. A small thought came in my mind wen IES would get so many paper from different countries. bt when i came back i was shocked it is not only IIM its IES too who has got 2 international paper for Finance Conference.
One of the biggest asset IIM have is the campus. the campus is so big and the area so calm that anyone would love to be a part of it. on the first day there was no presentation and we were busy exploring each and every corner of IIM that time i saw a girl sitting alone on the grass and there is no one around her and she is busy studying or reading seeing her even i felt that even i want to sit and enjoy the peace of reading in such a peace. we also visited vikram sarabhai library its awesome. anyperson can die reading but books may not end..!!! the best part is on 1 table only 4 persons sit. i cannot sit there even for a minute. sometimes i feel people here are isolated from the world. If ther is 2 or 3 days off one cannot go to their home..and the cafe is horrible...its nt somethin of world class standards it is like a normal canteen were half of the things written on the menu are not available.
my freindz wanted that t- shirt "i was at IIM" i din want to buy that becuase i felt i was happy with IES. one of the best thing of that shop was it was managed by pgdm students they used to get it printed and they only used to design the t-shirt and the money that was collected was used for annual day...these is something we can say smart work..!!!during the day of the presentation the compere was not that good. actually we had more expectations from the students but not necessary they all are extraordinary!! same goes with the presentation slides loading on the desktop and their was some problems with that also actually i had a perception that nothing can go wrong at IIM bt at the end of the day they are also students like u and me..

Some of the presentations were really good.i learned how to present a research what are the types of research and so on at the end it was wonderful and worth experiencing!

missin frndzzz

sometimes i feel even i should have took a break after my graduation like my other frndss...life is so hectic at ies that i hardly get time to spend with my frndzz. i have also stop reading books. their is so much pending work to do at ies that i dnt get time for my friends. i always plan with them and end up cancelling it because either i am tired or i have got project.

worst part was on my bday (sunday) we had college. But today i am feeling bad imagining those fun days of bms were we use to enjoy coming to class,canteen, enjoy haressin professor, were we used to get internal marks verrrry easily!!!!
